Naga Youths- we have to wake up!!!!!!!!
Nagaland regarded as one of the state which has a good number of students in the age group of 12-22 who are literate as well as educated. Here the question arising in my mind is “Are we Naga youths utilizing all of the potential which we possess?”
If we the youths answer these question personally I definitely would say 99% of us are not utilizing our potential to the uttermost! What’s the reason? Are we not humans like the others in the country? Why are the other states youth racing ahead of us in the progress to development? Is the Government not giving us the facilities which are required for us to exploit our potential?
Still now I see the DAN government in Nagaland has left no stones untouched for fulfilling the needs of the youth. We the youths’ never exploit the resources to the extent we need to. Why? Are we not capable enough? I hope none of the Naga youths in the present scenario considers themselves not lucky enough to live in Nagaland in the present era? It is the only state along with J&K which does not pay income tax. Moreover it enjoys power like no other states do enjoy in the ratio to its population.
I read somewhere in Kohima “Nagaland and Singapore- Difference? CIVIC SENSE. What are we lacking? Why can’t our motherland be the Scotland of the east instead of Manipur? We enjoy everything better than Manipur? Electricity, Ban, all the bloodshed etc occurs but still they are racing away from us why?
We the Naga youths are so mean except few that we never care for our motherland. We are never satisfied with what we are! We always think that being ST’s we would get jobs or seats in institution without competing with the outer world. But the fact is we are not the only ST’s in the country. There are many more we need to compete with them for a prosperous living.
Compare the recent HSLC and HSSLC results with AISSE and AISSCE conducted by CBSE. Why the gaps between the toppers are 6% and 9%????Why are they much more ahead of us? We have the same environment here as in there!!! But we cannot outrace them. Why? It is not the mentality that we possess rather it is the approach with which we take up matter. We are never servile. We Naga youths think we are going to feed on our parents’ budget. But aren’t our parents going to leave us???? One day they have to!!! It’s our Almighty’s wish not ours!!!!So we need to wake up!!!!
“We have simply borrowed this land from our Children we did not buy it” We Naga youths definitely need to wake up before it gets too late to stay in pace with the outer youths.
I know we have the potential!!! Why not utilize it fully??? We have the advantage of the language English which we can speak more fluently than any others in the country. Besides we are much better in the stage of games and sports. We have the upper edge but we never capitalize on it.
NAGA YOUTHS we need to wake up and compete with time rather allowing time to outrace us.
GOD BLESS THE YOUTH’s AND NAGALAND TO!!!!!
