NSCB Mokokchung becomes the sixth fully computerized branch

Mokokchung, November 17 (DIPR): Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd. (NSCB) Mokokchung Branch has been declared as the sixth fully computerized NSCB Branch in the state today, November 17, 2009. With this, the NSCB Mokokchung Branch is expected to provide better banking services and facilities to its customers in the district. The computerization of Mokokchung Branch was done under one of the ambitious projects of computerization of the NSCB Ltd. Branch network in the state since 2005.
Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Nagaland, M. Imtila Jamir who was the special guest at the inaugural function declared the Branch as fully computerized Branch. In her inaugural speech, Imtila Jamir expressed hope that computerization would result in prompt delivery of services and ensuring transparency and accountability. She said the NSCB is now at par with any other Nationalized Bank in terms of extending services to the clients in an effective manner. Congratulating the NSCB management for having reached such an important milestone, Imtila urged upon Branch officials to make good use of such a wonderful infrastructure and it should reflect in their balance sheet. She also appealed to all the co-operators who are ‘stakeholders’ of the Bank to play a proactive role saying, adding that the bank is entirely theirs.
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, C.M. Tsanglao, the Guest of Honour at the function in his speech said computerization of NSCB Mokokchung Branch is on of the important achievements of the district. Responding to the concern of the NSCB over poor recovery of loans, the Deputy Commissioner said the District Administration would extend all help to arrest the problem. He also called upon the NSCB officials in the district to be friendly to the customers.
In his key note address, the NSCB Managing Director, B.K. Thadani said computerization of Branches at Phek, Zunheboto, Wokha, Tuensang, Kiphire, Mon and Jalukie are in the process and all other branches in the state would be fully computerized within a short span of time. He also said the NSCB is contemplating to extend working hours and providing ATM services to the customers. The inaugural function was chaired by Vice Chairman of NSCB, M. Bendangnukshi Longkumer and it was attended by stakeholders of the Bank, senior government officials and the public.
