Youth expo 2012 Mon exhibition stalls inaugurated
Mon, April 4 (DIPR): Minister for School Education & SCERT Nyiewang Konyak on April 4, inaugurated the tribal festival cum youth expo 2012 Mon exhibition stalls.
The chief guest said that in a fast changing world festival give opportunity to step back ad reflect on who we are, where we come from, the history that define us. It reminds us of our roots and our responsibility to this root we called our home, our people and our land. We celebrate not just what was but we must acknowledge the journey that has brought us this far and we must prepare for the future as a tribe he said. He also said that this year, celebration is under the theme of Youth Resurgence observing that nothing represents the future better than the youth.
History shows us time and time again that the youth are one of the greatest assets that any nation can have the minister said and described youth as future leaders who he said are essentially the greatest investment for the nation development. He said that we believe youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow but also partners of today. Young people are more open to think, young people are future oriented, young people are idealistic and innovative, young people are courageous and young people are knowledgeable about today’s realistic approach, he maintained.
