British deputy high commissioner launches Hornbill music festival

Kisama, December 1: Sanjay Wadavani, British deputy High commissioner for Eastern India, Sanjay Wadavani on Tuesday formally launched the much awaited seven-day Hornbill Music Festival at Kisama.
Day one event of the music festival was marked by the achiever of 2009 in music, with local artists – Pete and Mhale. Ledilhounuo Yaotsu , Oren, Aosunep, Namnahei, Topeni, Athungo Kithan, Ashuni, Toli Chophy, Vibiezounuo, Atsungla Imchen, Azatoli Rotokha, Venetolu Tetso  and Chakhesang choir taking to the stage.
The Hornbill Music Festival is an integral event of the Hornbill Festival 2009 and will feature the evening entertainment programmes slot at Kisama from December 1 to 7, organised by the Music Task Force. The production and events are managed by XL.
Dr. Nicky Kire, MLA, advisor MTF and chairman NKVIB, Gugs Chishi, Project Director MTF introduced the chief guest, while Abu Metha, Press secretary to CM and member MTF, Mainak De, head Eastern India Press and Public Affairs and XL members were also present during the official launching programme of Music Festival.
