‘Heralding Culture’ – Cultural presentations to mark day two of Hornbill Festival
Kohima, December 1 (DIPR): The second day of this year’s Hornbill Festival, December 2, will be a special day dedicated to cultural presentations from the north east states. Among those to take part will include Pynther Orchestra, Rewben Mashangva & son, Mizo singers, young Khasi singers, Voices Na Rympei (Meghalaya) and Zome Madrigat. It might be mentioned that since 2006 the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Ministry of Culture, Government of India has been a major facilitator in bringing cultural troupes from other north eastern states.
Cutural folk dances will begin at 10:30 am. At 12:30 pm there will be a presentation of Technicolor Dreams and folk dances again from 2:30 pm A special musical presentation ‘Music of the North East’ will begin at 5:00 pm.
