Back to the day job for Oscar winner Sandra Bullock toy store
Just days ago she was the toast of Hollywood, but life is quickly getting back to normal for Oscar winner Sandra Bullock. The star, who won Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side, was spotted taking her stepdaughter Sunny to a toy store in Seal Beach, California, yesterday. She was dressed for comfort in jeans, a loose-fitting top and cardigan - a stark contrast to her incredibly glamorous Academy Awards attire.
While she revelled in the acclaim at Sunday's ceremony - particularly receiving a worst actress Razzie Award for All About Steve 24 hours earlier - the 45-year-old admitted she was keen to come back down to earth. 'I just want a burger and I just want some food,' Sandra, who wore a shimmering Marchesa gown, said at an Oscars after-party. 'I want to sit down, take the shoes off. I want to eat and not sweat it and not worry the dress will bust open. I just want to relax and... I'd like a nap, too.'
Later, she also thanked her Monster Garage presenter husband Jesse James for putting up with her throughout the awards season.
'This is a man who works 12 hours a day, manual labour,' she said. 'I have to pull him out of bed… and say, "Can you try on the Dolce suit?" she told Oprah Winfrey. 'He's like, "Do I have to?" I'm like: "Yes. I don't want you to look like a bad waiter." He's amazing.'
The pair have endured a difficult 12 months together - they were locked in a custody feud with his ex-wife, Janine Lindemulder, over five-year-old Sunny. Lindemulder, a porn star turned producer of adult movies, wanted her weekly visitations to be expanded to include overnight stays, but a court denied the request in December.
