Raja Ghosh, Meghalaya is Mr. North East 2012
Winner of 3rd Mega Mr. North East 2012 Raja Ghosh (Centre) Meghalaya flanked by 1st runner up, Meren Ao (Nagaland) and 2nd runner up, Jhonny K. Marak (Assam).
Responding to the query that the main issue of the North East region is the “unemployment” which leads the educated unemployed to fall in the wrong track out of frustration, 23 years old Raja Ghosh of Meghalaya swiftly lifted the most coveted title of the 3rd Mega Mr. North East 2012, held yesterday at State Academy hall, Kohima. Meren Ao from Nagaland and Jhonny K. Marak from Assam were declared as first and second runner up respectively.
The Winner Mr. North East 2012, walked away with a cash of Rs. 30,000 and also he will be signing a one year contract with the Mega Entertainment.
Altogether 16 contestants from Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland took part in the contest.
The event was organized by Fit for Life Entertainment.
Along with the three winners Rakesh Kalita and Sunny Kumar N entered final round that was scrutinized out of three rounds, traditional, swim wear round and formal round.
While acknowledging the organizers and Mega Entertainment for giving Nagaland state, the opportunity to host the show, Parliamentary secretary, Social Welfare, Child & Women Development, Chotisuh Sazo in his brief address urged upon the gathering to cultivate good personality, culture and character taking the advantage of such platform which can make the society better.
The judges of the show included Mrs. Ch. Purnima Devi, President of Mega Mr. North East organization, Assam, Thomas Lim, Editor of Meghalaya Times & CEO of Asthetic Pine, Meghalaya, M.K Mero, Commissioner & Secretary, DIPR, Oken Jeet Sandham, President Muaythai Federation of India & Vice Chairman International Federation of Muaythai Amateur, Bangkok, Thailand and Sudhir, a model from Mumbai.
As the Mega Entertainment prepares for the Miss North East Contest along with the Get Gorgeous team, to be held at Dimapur in February, the Managing Director of the Mega Entertainment also said that the 4th Mega North East Contest will be held at Meghalaya.
