NPCC lauds PM for NSG waiver

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee congratulates the UPA government for its success over putting through the NSG waiver which is termed as a historic moment for the entire country. A message from the president of NPCC, K V Pusa, complemented the UPA chairperson, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Mamohan Singh for their commitment towards pushing the Indo-US nuclear deal despite strong opposition from the Left parties and  the BJP.
“The NSG waiver has put India back into the nuclear club after 34 years of nuclear apartheid”, stated the NPCC. Despite whatever the oppositions have said,  Prime Minister Dr. Singh is the ‘strongest PM ever India has produced since he had brought the nation to such level’, NPCC claimed. With this step, Pusa said,  India would have a strong voice in the community of nations. He maintained that this achievement will also go down in the history of the nation. NPCC also expressed full conviction and hope that the nuclear deal would benefit the people of rural areas.

NCF appeals on NU mess

Dimapur, September 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Christian Forum urgently calls upon all in concern to settle the Nagaland University standoff at the earliest. “The NCF is of the view, that whatever be the points of contention, victimization of the students is totally wrong, as they are not a party to the issues involved” stated a note from the forum. “For your quarrels our children must not be sacrificed” it added.
