NSF calls for transparency in fresh appointments
Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation‘s President Mutsikhoyo Yhobus has called for total transparency with regard to making fresh appointments in place of employees following the enforcement of the Nagaland Retirement from Public Employment (Second Amendment) Act, 2009. Stating this in a note, the NSF president informed that the petition for interim stay had been rejected by the Supreme Court today and the matter is fixed for hearing on 14th January 2010. He reiterated the NSF’s stand that the present “movement is being carried out in the interest of younger generation of the Naga people and few vested interest persons cannot deprive the rights of the Naga youths as the decision was unanimously taken considering the welfare of the youths.”
The NSF has also appealed to the state government to go ahead with the implementation of the Act and start the procedure of making fresh appointments in place of the affected employees. The NSF has urged for total transparency in the process.
