NBSE riders relaxed for Manipur students

Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): The Nagaland government cabinet has relaxed a number of riders concerning Manipur students appearing for their HSLC examinations (2010) under Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) in Nagaland. The Nagaland cabinet met on February 3 and discussed the matter, Chief Secretary Lalthara, IAS, informed in a note today. A number of stipulations decided upon by the cabinet, and to be implemented by the NBSE was  notified  today.
The government reaffirmed its earlier decision to allow students from Manipur to appear in the HSLC examinations conducted by the NBSE. The decision implies that some relaxations will have to be allowed in the admission procedure for Manipur candidates to this year’s HSLC under NBSE as has been done for the past three years. The relaxation will be applicable to only 43 students from Okai Academy in Mao and Dainty Kids School in Jessami and valid only for the coming HSLC examinations (2010) under NBSE.    36 students (21 boys and 15 girls) from Okai Academy in Mao “may be allowed” to appear the HSLC examinations at Viswema Government High School center by providing additional 36 seats for them. No arrangements for accommodations and transportation will be required as the students will come from Mao and return on the same day, the government said.
Seven students from Dainty Kids School in Jessami may be allowed to appear the examinations from Meluri Government High School centre by providing seven additional seats for them. There will be no need for special arrangements regarding accommodations and transportation.
These will have to be done by the students in concern, the government said.  The government notification said that the NBSE will make necessary arrangements for admission of the stated 43 students in relaxation of the normal rules as was done during the past three years. This way, the students may be enabled to receive their admission cards well in time for the examinations. The special arrangements and relaxation of rules will be made during the current year only and would not be extended, the note stated.

What bullshit is this? How can students under the MBSE appear under NBSE? What next, that the Nagaland Govt. allot jobs to them too after their graduation. If this trend continues than I can see a day when we will be working under outsiders in our own state calling them 'Sahebs' and 'Sir'. Totally disgusted by this news report.

@Nelly For Tatu, next will be scholarships for MBSE students, special quota in colleges and schools. Extra special quota in the NPSE and so on...

The Rio government has to agree to all this bullshit as he is in power because of their support...

This is sheer bullshit

I say this Manipuri students should not be allowed to enter Naga soil on the day of the exam and send back from the Mao gate itself. If the MBSE can't accommodate them than its the Ibobi government's headache not the Naga government's headache. Wonder what the DNSU and the NSF doing?

The DNSU and the NSF too are human beings. They don't want a bullet in their head....

Nagaland is not a land of Democracy.. Its a land of hypocrisy.. formed by the people with guns, for the people with guns....

Am so tired and sick off all these bullshits.
Think i should join one of these groups and enjoy instead off working 55 hours in a week...

Well if thats case than I don't see a reason why there should be a Student union in the first place?

Is CBSE only limited to Delhi. No, it covers a lot of CBSE affiliated schools all over India. The point i am making is that no education board should be limited by territory. Also it is important to remember that education is a fundamental right. It is sad that people are interpreting it along divisive lines. Such mentality is the source of division. Ironically these very people will be the first ones talking about unity.

The goal of unity cannot be achieved easily and Naga people must be united under the banner of truth. Best wishes to all the students appearing exam in Nagaland!
