Fifty-one from NNC join GPRN/NSCN

Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN informs that on Tuesday February 7 a ‘formal reception program’ was held for 51 members of the NNC (Kiumukam) who joined the GPRN/NSCN fold.
A note form the GPRN/NSCN said that the group’s President “gen. (retd)” Khole exhorted the new members saying “although  it is the usual norms for revolutionary groups to oppose one another, it should not continue forever, and said that it is his dream that Nagas will all merge together under one  banner one day.” Killings and divisions among the Nagas have not brought anything soluble but created further problems, he was quoted as saying.
Also, the “ato kilonser” of the GPRN/NSCN, N Kitovi Zhimomi in his speech said ‘unity among brotherhood’ precedes ‘integration, sovereignty and freedom which is something every Naga is longing for,’ the note said. “When unity is achieved, everything falls into places. Adding that, the GPRN/NSCN is anti ‘isms’ and anybody involving in any forms of ‘isms’ is liable to be implicated as anti-Naga involving in anti national activities. He encouraged every member to place the Naga National Cause in the forefront.”
Likewise, Kuhovi Zhimomi, “kilo kilonser” of the NNC said in his speech that “having minutely observed the positive changes taking place among the Nagas, the NNC members took a firm decision to unconditionally strengthen the hands of those leaders who were genuinely working towards the reconciliation and unity of all Nagas,” according to the note.
“He and 50 others joined the GPRN/NSCN unconditionally because the time has come for the Nagas to speak in unison,” the GPRN/NSCN’s note added.
