ENSF under pressure for twin exam dates

Kiphire, February 9 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has fulfilled the demands of the Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) over the teachers’ recruitment exam but the federation is now under pressure from candidates as it ‘coincided’ with the undergraduate and graduate exams which shall be during the scheduled date for the teachers’ recruitment.
Speaking over the phone to this correspondent, the vice president ENSF Likhumse Sangtam said “the federation is well aware of the dates of teachers recruitment exam that coincide with various exam in the state but cannot avoid because department concern has to submit the utilization certificate of the 819 sanctioned post which is to be conducted to the ministry after which the ministry will allot 700 additional post to us, so to get that additional post we have to go in time with the scheduled date”.
Sangtam said that ‘if the teachers recruitment exam is only for 819 post the federation may request the department to postponed the date, but if we postpone the date then additional 700 post that is to be advertised soon may not be given by the ministry so to submit the utilization certificate the federation cannot help but have to go in line with the advertised date”.
On being asked about the plight of the candidates in the four districts from the current development, the ENSF vice president expressed “regret for the inconveniences faced by the candidates but they have to bear with the federation because after this exam more than 700 sectioned post is to be advertised soon for this academic session so one should not loose heart but can try for the next exam.”
