NSCN/GPRN (K) cautions on illegal collection

Kohima, FEBRUARY 12 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (K) has once again warned all those collecting taxes in the name of the organization to stop immediately. Taking serious note on information that some ‘fake demand note’ had been issued ‘in the name of the outfit’ from Dimapur Purana Bazaar, the outfit warned that those person(s) would be doing at their own risk and the organization will not be held responsible for any punishment that may be enforced.
The NSCN/GPRN (K) informed all the business community/individual in and around Kohima and Dimapur to be cautious of people who are out to ‘extort by force using the name of outfit.’ The press note issued by K. Akato Yepthomi, its Finance Secretary, cautioned that, in the interest of the public it would initiate stern action against anybody including officers from their own organization, the released said. The group’s finance secretary has sought information on any condition such as ‘donation’, or threats or information about ‘anti-social elements.’ This can be communicated through the number 9402993566, it said. The same must be properly verified, it stated.
