NSCN (K) cadre injured
Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): One NSCN (Khaplang) cadre identified as a Semato was reportedly injured and an AK 47 he was carrying was taken away by GPRN/NSCN cadres when the cadres of the two rival factions fired at each other in the heart of Litsami village, on Wednesday. The injured is said to be from Vekuhomi village.
According to villagers, the firing started at around 1:20 pm lasting for around 20 minutes. The two groups dispersed in opposite directions at the intervention of villagers and Assam Rifles personnel. Reports said numerous household properties were damaged during the shooting.
Litsami Village Council and GBs have condemned the incident and have appealed to the underground factions not to resort to such acts in the village and its vicinity.
