New officials for Ao Senden appointed

Mokokchung, February 17 (MExN): The apex organization of the Ao people– Ao Senden –had a change of guard with a team of new office bearers coming in to take charge of the organization at Town Hall Mokokchung here today. The new officials of the Ao Senden will be led by Dr Sangyu Yaden from Merangkong village as the president; he is a lecturer at Nagaland University Geography Department.
The Vice-president is Lipoktemsü from Sungratsu village, General Secretary– Supong Longchar of Longkum village, Assistant GS – Imlitemsu from Longjemdang village, Finance Secretary – Alem Lemtur of Moayimti village, and Treasurer – Maputemjen from Mokokchung village. The new team will hold office for a tenure 2012-2014. Delegates from the six federating unit of Ao Senden and also from the different Town Units attended today’s general meeting of the Senden. The former Ao Senden office was headed by Lendinoktang as the president and Nungsang as General Secretary.
