Eco Blockade on Nagaland to be intensified
Dimapur Dist Adm to meet with Golaghat counterpart
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 21 (MExN): Even as the Dimapur District Administration led by the Superintendent of Police and the Deputy Commissioner will meet with their counterpart in Golaghat on Wednesday August 22 in connection with the ongoing economic blockade imposed on Nagaland by Assam based organizations, sources have informed that there will now be a total blockade starting from 5 pm August 22. The information is that no vehicular movement will be allowed either for traffic coming in from Nagaland side or those moving out of Assam. This means that not only public goods transportation but even private vehicles will be prevented from moving.
Meanwhile, SP Dimapur disclosed Tuesday evening that the Golaghat district administration have agreed in principle to have the meeting on August 22 in Golaghat. The agitating organization will not take part in the meeting however. No other detail could be had. The focus of the meeting will likely be on how to bring the agitators to the negotiating table.
