Kenya Piracy

The seven who were arrested by marine officers on board a German naval ship MV Frigate Karlsruhe, had attempted to hijack a fishing trawler Captain St. Vincent. The suspected pirates denied the charges of piracy before the Mombasa chief magistrate and were remanded at the Shimo la Tewa GK Prison. The suspected pirates were arrested on Oct, 27, 2009 in the high seas of the Gulf of Aden armed with weapons. The hearing of the case will be on Jan.7, 2010.(AP Photo)
