‘Greenland Nagaland’ magazine launched

An initiative of the Development Authority of Nagaland, a monthly magazine named ‘Greenland Nagaland’ was launched on January 26 by Minister for Forest & Climate Change and Justice & Law, C.M. Chang at Circuit House, Dimapur.

Editor of the magazine, Dr. Swaraj Mukherjee in his first editorial described the magazine as a “magazine beyond magazine” and added that anyone from anywhere might ask them for any matter on investments, prospects, projects, tourism and any other desired information. He also wrote that Nagaland is the greenest of all states in the country with 86% forest cover.

Addressing the gathering after launching the magazine, C.M Chang expressed the hope that the publication would be a torch-bearer in promoting the state worldwide. He was also optimistic that the state tourism would be enhanced through the magazine and affirmed full support towards sustaining the magazine.

Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department, Dr. Nicky Kire also said that the publication could help boost tourism in many ways.

Earlier, Dr. Mukherjee delivered the keynote address.

The launching programme was attended by DAN Chairman, A. Nyamnyei Konyak; Principal Secretary for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Department, Himato Zhimomi; DC Dimapur, Anoop Khinchi; Commissioner of Police, Rothihu Tetseo; DAN Secretary, Pangzangkokba and a host of government officials and public leaders.
