* In this moment of great grief, I on behalf of WCH Team along with all the Western Chakhesang Members express our deepest sorrow on the unreplaceable loss owing to the demise of our father figure & tallest Leader Late.Padma M. Vero, The first Naga Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha); Former cabinet Minister GON; and also The First President of Naga Hoho who is a recipient of Padmashree Award for his great contribution towards society.
* Late M. Vero is an outspoken man who is straightforward, honest, friendly, humourous and a very determined person who has kept the Chakhesang People United under his Fatherly Authority.
* I remember him say "I am not smart or clever but I won't deceive you" .... such was his way of connecting with people which made him a likeable person.
* He may be unable to do enough justice towards fulfilling Naga peoples' aspiration for peace in our land, but for us -The Chakhesang people- We salute him as our tallest leader and the best in whom we take pride.
* We will remember His deep conviction & the initiatives he took for bringing about peace in our land.
I also take this opportunity on behalf of Western Chakhesang Hoho to express our gratefulness to Naga people and convey our sincere gratitude to all for reposing faith in Padmashree M.Vero by giving him space to lead the Naga people under various capacities.
*Gone he is, but his deeds will remain alive forever in our hearts. We pray God Almighty will lead him to eternal peace.
* May the Good Lord grant Comfort to Madam Kerele, the children, grand children & great grand children.
