KOHIMA, JANUARY 26 (MExN): Home Commissioner Abijit Sinha IAS was the special guest in the evening program of the Republic Day function at Nagaland Secretariat Plaza, Kohima. An exhibition football match was played between Hullux Club versus Light Club where Light club defeated Hullux Club, 4-1.
The daylong celebration concluded with prize distribution. In the armed contingents, the first position was bagged by 40 Assam Rifles and 4th NAP, Thizama bagged second position. In the unarmed categories No.1 Nagaland Air Squadron, NCC and 24th NL (1) Coy NCC were declared first and second positions respectively.
All the twenty participating contingents also received incentives. In the exhibition stalls; Department of Agriculture bagged first position while Horticulture and Land Resources bagged second and third prizes respectively.
The 71st Republic Day 2020 celebration concluded with the band display by Nagaland Police Brass Band PTS, 14 Assam Rifles Pipe Band and 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Band followed by beating of the retreat.
