NAGA IDOL 3.08 | 7 contestants come through Kohima audition
Kohima : Altogether, seven contestants came through at the Kohima audition for Naga Idol 3.08 held here this morning at Hotel Japfu. Seven selected candidates from Kohima audition includes; Angulie Nagi, Kumtenzukba Jamir, Dzevilenuo Solo, R. Senkathung Kikon, Keneilezonuo Chale, Toshinaro Imchen, Hüto Chüzho.
Alem, show coordinator, said the Mokokchung District Art & Culture Council (MDACC) has initiated the Naga Idol in 2006 with an objective to identify the musical talent of young people. He was optimistic that this year’s edition will yield better result. Alem also sought active cooperation from each and every individual towards the success of the event.
Also speaking on the occasion, Naga Idol 2007 Ruokuovotuo thanked the organizer for opening an opportunity for youngsters to expose their talents. “Believe in yourself and have faith in God,” he advised the contestants. Nise Meruno, Theja Meru and Achen Longchari were acted as judges in Kohima audition. The winner will become a proud owner of a car along with a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh. The Ist runners up will also pocket Rs. 1 lakh while the four finalists will win Rs. 25,000 each.
