NSCN (K) refute false, fabricated news reports

Kohima, June 24 (MExN): NSCN (K) has termed the report published in various media houses about the June 21 incident at Tamenglong district of Manipur where three of its cadres were gunned down supposedly after spat between NSCN (K) and Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF).

MIP NSCN (K) has refuted the news reports and has termed it as totally false and fabricated adding that it had nothing to do with the ZUF. The outfit instead blamed the NSCN (I-M) cadres for firing upon its cadres in the wee hours Tuesday last between 1a.m. to 2 a.m. at Haochong village in Tamenglong district where three cadres captain Aimpou alias Ainson, son of Nangjin, private Lunhchui son of Kaigonpou and private Ezekiel son of Thiuthai were gunned down during the pre-dawn attack by the NSCN (IM).

Reiterating that its people’s army formation in the area were undergoing structural changes and that hectic preparation was on to launch a new combined formation i.e. mobile six when heavily armed cadres of NSCN (IM) made the surprise attack. A joint statement by the NSCN (K) and ZUF has already been issued and published in all media publications in Manipur condemning the NSCN (IM) attack, the MIP added.

While denying its association with ZUF, NSCN (K) said that the reports of fraternization with any group/faction were completely untrue. It has condemned the killing of its cadres and further urged various Naga underground groups in the area to maintain peaceful atmosphere.

MIP NSCN (K) further reiterated its Kilonser Wangtin Nagas stand that ZUF was not for Naga sovereignty and that it was just a group of people whose issue or agenda were not known by the outfit and therefore the NSCN (K) cannot be part of this group of people and whose issue or agenda is not known.
Meanwhile NSCN (K) MIP Secretary Sangso Mongzar Naga has once informed all the media houses to contact him or the concerned Kilonser for any issues or incidents related to the NSCN (K) so as to avoid mistrust and confusion out of false, wrong, contradictory statements from different sources. In a statement, Sangso informed that in recent days, certain English news daily from Nagaland had misreported the number of casualty in the aftermath of factional fight between NSCN (K) and GPRN/NSCN at Zunheboto and also in the June 21 Tamenglong incident which were contradictory and lead to confusion among the masses.
The MIP Secretary said that a directive from the Chairman NSCN (K) had authorized the MIP Kilonser and Secretary to deal with all matters of information and publicity related issues concerning the NSCN (K) which was notified in all the news dailies in Nagaland. Sangso has therefore asked media houses to take note of this notification adding that it has nothing to hide and in the name of Jesus Christ and it will give factual and truthful information on any issues concerning the NSCN (K) in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh or Nagaland etc.

MIP Secretary has once again asked media houses to contact him at 8732818773 or MIP Kilonser Wangtin Naga at 8974344005 for any MIP related matters so as to avoid confusion and mistrust between the NSCN (K) and the media houses.

We all know that ZUF is nothing more than a gangster but our so called freedom fighters nurture them up and use them to fight against their rival. This is how any frustrated man easily form a new group. Beside being uplifted by Meiteis media, they(ZUF)work hand in hand with NSCN K and FGN/NNC. Frm the press issue and frm the victims of few battles btwn Nagas, we can easily understand that they are very closely working together and how can NSCN K deny this open fact? It is well knwn from their activities that NSCN K is not for Nagas but it exists only to fight Nagas especially NSCN by taking help frm the common enemies.
