Cong for dislodging ‘corrupt DAN govt’
DIMAPUR, JULY 3 (MExN): “The NPF-led DAN government’s subversive action on the Constitution calls for immediate action of the Nagaland Governor”, stated a press note issued by the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee. The press note stated that as the Executive head of the State and the guardian of the Constitution, the Governor was expected to act to safeguard the interest of the public and demanding that the NPF-led DAN government be dismissed immediately.
Also, pointing out that there was no sign of the existence of the “popular people’s government” and that there was “no governance”, the NPCC appealed to the people of Nagaland to take cognizance of the excesses of the NPF-led DAN government and rise to the occasion to dislodge the corrupt DAN government. “It’s high time that the people of Nagaland show their backs to the NPF and turn the Naga People’s Front into Naga People’s Back”.
The NPCC also stated that it had the confidence in the bureaucracy and technocracy and the people. “If voted to power and given the right political atmosphere and direction, we are confident that together we will be able to correct the mistakes of the DAN government and restore the rule of law by effective governance”. The NPCC also stated that it was “committed to bring back to the track the state of affairs and put the glory of the State and its people in its rightful place”. As such the NPCC appealed to the people of Nagaland to vote for Congress in the next general election in the larger interest of the State.
Stating that the preset imbroglio in the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) was as a result of the NPF-led DAN government delaying the Municipal and Town Council elections in the State, the Opposition Congress also pointed out that the “illegal advisory committees” had already done the damage beyond repair in its tenure since January 2010. As though this was not enough for the corrupt NPF-led DAN government, the NPCC stated that transfer of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DMC added insult to the public office.

The Congress is making a lot of noises taking advantage of the situation with all those hollow promises that Mr.Rio left behind. There is no doubt that the congress is led by corrupted politicians who have selfish interests and agendas. Nagaland's infrastructure has not changed a lot even after so many successive goverments. The condition of the state remains the same while the homes and cars of the politicians keep changing every now and again. The Nagas need young and dynamic leaders, who are responsible and wise. The Congress and the NPF has to be done away with to make way for new changes. If we look at the current economic condition of Nagaland, we are a ridiculous lot with the mess the goverment of nagaland has created. We are never the same Nagas we once were reconized to be. Everywhere we look, we see our own destruction at work. Alas! God save the Nagas.
