Alobo Naga & The Band have been Nominated To Represent India at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards Under Worldwide Category (India-Middle-East-Africa).  Vh1 will exclusively air the award ceremony from Frankfurt, Germany Live on 12th November at 00:30am with a prime time repeat at
8pm!
Alobo Naga & The Band from Dimapur, Nagaland have been declared as the proud winner at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) under the Best Indian Act/Worldwide Act Category.
The band will now represent India with their song & music video ‘Painted Dreams’ in the Worldwide Category (India/Middle East/Africa) at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards.

 The band rose to fame in 2011 with their popular video single Painted Dreams breaking into Vh1 India’s Top 10 Countdown at No.4 and was also featured among Vh1 India’s Top 50 music
videos of 2011.
The MTV Europe Music Awards, 2012 will be aired exclusively on Vh1 Live from Frankfurt, Germany on 12th November at 00:30am with a prime time repeat at 8pm!
The video single ‘Painted Dreams’ was the official theme song of prestigious 1st Guwahati International Short Film Festival (GISFF), 2011 and has been conceptualized and directed by Prithish and Puja
Chakraborty from Creovaent Productions, Guwahati.
Alobo Naga and the Band is made up of five very talented and typical young Naga men (Alobo Naga- Vocals, Guitar, Piano, Bamhum; Akum Jams-Guitar/Ukulele/vocals; Fung Walling- Bass, Vocals; DJ Sumika Yepthomi-Turntable, Guitar, Vocals and Pamei on Drums).
