Legislators visit quarantine centers under Chiephobozou and Tseminyu

Kohima, April 1 (MExN): The legislators In-charge of monitoring the Kohima District COVID-19, Minister Housing, Tongpang Ozukum and Advisor Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire along with Advisor Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, R Khing and DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, Sr. S.P Kohima, K Sophie and Dy. CMO, Dr Hoito visited quarantine centers and health centers under Chiephobozou and Tseminyu sub-division on April 1.

 

During their visit, the team interacted with respective Medical Officers and area administrative officers and examined the status of preparedness levels and also took note of their grievances faced at present.

 

In a short meeting held at ADC Tseminyu Office, Minister Tongpang and Advisor Dr. Nicky expressed satisfactory on the overall preparation and acknowledged the efforts of every individuals and line departments involved besides limited resources and manpower. They also assured to take up the issues, which needs to be addressed at the earliest with the Health department. Further, the administrative officers were called upon  to continue to have proper coordination with the district headquarter and sensitise the people in their respective areas to take all precautionary measures and follow the guidelines properly.

 

DC Kohima asked his authorised administrative officers to monitor the movement and availability of essential commodities and to ensure that stock is available in their respective areas.  He further asked them to take proper assessment of the migrant workers/daily wagers in order to reach the targeted group.

 

ADC Tseminyu, Nokchasashi Kichu as leader on Covid-19 Tseminyu Surveillance Team gave report on the status of surveillance under the Sub-Division.

 

Deputy CMO Kohima, Dr Hoito Chishi also briefed the house on the system of information flow in case of COVID-19 positive case under Kohima district. He informed that any symptomatic case from the epicenter of any positive case will be shifted to the Isolation Hospital (Chedema/NHAK) by designated ambulance. All the household in cordoned off area will be monitored and tracked by SMO/MO of respective Blocks and their team of BPM/BAC etc. and all the asymptomatic cases from the epicenter of any positive case will be home quarantined for 14 days, Dr Hoito added.

 

Earlier, the team visited Chiephobozou Community Health Center (CHC), PWD Guest House, Botsa Primary Health Center (PHC), CHC Tseminyu, PHC Chunlikha and Touphema Primary Health Center (PHC).
