NPSC- Femme Fatale
•-Recent expose` of NPSC is nothing new and is apparently a ‘femme fatale’ for many aspirants especially for the parents/patrons. Now if we study the long history of NPSC seriously, the usual routine is, (i) this kind of ‘happening’ appears in the local dailies headline (ii) followed by condemnations (iii) hues and cries from several organizations headed by NSF (iv) Investigations follows (v) delay tactics….after that (vi) dust settles and the matter is buried. (Yawn) Life goes on…normally till another ‘interesting’ item appears in the local dailies, “NPSC does it again!” whoah!
In this instant case however I salute NSF for boldly exposing the cheaters/thieves and their patrons. It would really revive the faith of the public in NSF as an organization who stands solely for the welfare of the students/future generation if it relentlessly pursues this matter till the end successfully.
Appropriate action should be taken on each and every offender and their accomplices. Concerned Govt.departments should take the matter into their hands and take action according to rules in regard to officials (including parents of the NCS/NPS/Allied wannabes) who acted in a very ‘unbecoming’ way of a Govt.employee and the same goes to legislators, social workers etc.
People may say that one cannot possible function in the 21st Century without adopting a few corrupt means, occasionally. It is true that we often knowingly do things, which we are not supposed to do. However, cut-throat competition is ruining lives and moral values. At all levels, life has become so demanding and people have to cope with so much that corruption seems to be the easy way out. This is how it is seen everywhere, an accepted short cut to success and fame. However, how can one forget that age-old proverb,” A short-cut is often a wrong cut.”
Realization is the only way out of this whole problem. But when people don’t change their perspective of looking at issues, some drastic measures should be taken. If the numbers are in minority, the majority will soon dominate over them and ultimately the result will be positive.
People of Nagaland need to wake up and face reality. Fear of failure needs to be eradicated, in order to make our lives more ‘true’. It’s a long long way ahead. A lot of courage is required and it’s not going to be easy.

An opinion on Pension
•-The Govt, of Nagaland have adopted the CCS (P) Rules, 1972 for the purpose of pension for its own employees. Earlier, in all cases of amendments to the CCS (P) Rules, by Center, State Govt. used to issue order adopting the same amendment, the delay in issue of such order had caused hardships in many ways including increase of works in the Office. Therefore, with a view to avoid such unnecessary hardships, Nagaland Govt, had decided that the CCS (P) Rules with all upto date amendments shall be deemed to have adopted by the Govt.of Nagaland also. It was further decided that, the order already issues by the Nagaland Govt. in pension matters contrary to the provision of the aforesaid may be treated as modification of the provision of the aforesaid Rules in so far as their applicability in the State of Nagaland is concerned.
Thirdly, it had been further decided that, future amendments to the aforesaid Rules, if any, shall be treated as automatically adopted by the Govt. of Nagaland. However, if such amendments have any aver-riding effects on the State Govt. orders, the order of the State Govt.will stand. Till date, we have no pension Rules of our own in Nagaland. As such, we still follow the same CCS (P) Rules’72.
Now, along with the implementation of the 6th CPC’s recommendation the prices of all the essential commodities have gone up which effects the lives of the common people all over the Country. In fact, Nagaland is one of the worst victims of the implementation of the Central pay Commission’s recommendation.Unfortunately, contrary to our anticipation; there is no open talk about the implementation of the recommendation of the 6th Pay Commission’s report.

Pension policy requires revision from
Time to time” – Supreme Court.
Perhaps, the implementation of the 6th pay revision is a serious problem which can not be avoided. It is everybody’s anticipation that Govt. is concernly aware of the problem and that, necessary arrangement is being taken up by the concern authority so that the 6th pay Commission’s recommendation may be released to its employees by the State Govt. as that of our neighboring States without further delay.

Teachers’Grievances
WHY NOT?
1. New appointment need to be stopped completely instead of mentally torturing teachers’ serving faithfully by asking for Xerox copies of appointment order every month.
2. We fell that if verification is to be done should have done at the time of joining the service, then allowing to serve for so long, some must have become overage by now after being in service for long. Whom are to held responsible.
3. If verification is at all needed we fell that there is a need for verification of fact educational qualification certificated to each and every department then any other.
4. It is a known fact that in any other department there is no transparency than why only teacher are to ultimate sufferers?
5. We the teacher are taking all possible ways out for the bright future of the pupil without even bothering for our self, hoping to receive unseen blessings from above. Is it the blessings we are hoping for?
