General Council Kumlong Ward resolutions



The General Council Kumlong Ward Mokokchung had its 3rd General Meeting on the 28th of July 2012 and some of the important resolutions adopted in it are:
1. The audit report of the then UEMB was given by the auditors and was tabled.
2. The consumers who has still not paid the  Rs.20/-  collection is asked to pay the same to Mr.I.Tsukjempokba, Executive Member on or before 5th Aug.’12 failing which the defaulters shall be punished as per the decision of the next General Meeting.
3. It was resolved that the E.E.(E) Mokokchung will be asked to  take the “Initial Meter Reading” of all the consumers in the Ward and also to check the meter box and test  each of the consumers’ meter boxes before 100% Communitisation is implemented.
4. It was decided upon that the  non co-operation imposed with the Ward Executives in its second General Meeting on 5/4/12 will be lifted and that the Ward Executives shall be asked to withdraw in newspapers their paper publication (9th March ’12 in “Ao Milen”) and also the complain written to the Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung saying that the General Council is an unauthorized body.
5. The E.E.(E) Mkg had in some local dailies written that the Department only deals with the UEMB and not the Ward Executives but the SDO(E) had written to the Ward Executives instead of UEMB to pay the due bills. So it was decided to ask the EE(E) to clarify the matter.
6. The All Ward Union Mokokchung had on refund of electricity bills collected an amount of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand)only from all the wards of the town and so the amount as taken back from them by the General Council on the day through the then UEMB and the Ward Executive Secretary.
7. The balance amount of Rs.2,39,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh thirty Nine Thousand)only after audit which was kept with the Ward Executives was asked to be returned and the same was done by them at the meeting.
8. It was resolved to discontinue the payment of the 2%  out of the 12% UEMB commission which was paid to the Ward Executive.
