Governor to grace LFS parents’ day
Kohima, November 4 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar will grace the annual parents day of Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Kohima, on November 5. Minister for school education and SCERT, Nyeiwang Konyak, will also be present on the occasion as guest of honour.
DC & ARO Mon informs
Mon, November 4 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Returning Officer for Mon, Dinesh Kumar, IAS, has informed all the vehicle owners who have not collected hire charges used during the last Election duty to claim their bills (hire charges) within 7 days from the date of issue of this notice. The office has been entertaining payment of bills for the last 6 months and this will be stopped after 7 days to submit the DCC bill to the government, the notice added. No claims will be entertained after the expiry date and the office will not be held responsible for payment, it was informed.
Lotha Hoho for special leave on Tokhu Emong
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The Lotha Hoho, in reference to the celebration of its greatest festival, Tokhu Emong, on November 7, has made a request to all the heads of schools and colleges in Dimapur to grant special leave to students from the Lotha community to enable them to join in the celebrations. The Hoho general secretary, L N Ngullie, in a press release has also requested the SP Dimapur to exempt the Lotha police personnel from duties on November 7 to enable them to celebrate the same.
NUCRC healing service from Nov 6
Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The Nagamese Union Christian Revival Church, D. Block Kohima, is organising a three-day long ‘Good News & Healing Service’ from November 6 to 8, at the Congress Bhavan conference hall in Kohima. Evangelist Dr. Joram Dol, founder president of Apostolos Bible College, Itanagar, and president of the Arunachal CRC Youth Association, will be the speaker. The service will be held on the theme ‘With God all things are possible’ (Matt. 19:26).
ANCSU condemns NU job reservation for ST
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has expressed condemnation to the Nagaland University on the “job reservation for schedule tribes” made on the Advt. No.NU/ESTT/27 on August 10. The Union in a press release issued by its general secretary, Bendang Nukshi, and vice president Yhanbemo, stated that the reservation “is totally violating the reservation policy and deprives the right of the tribal people”. In this regard, the Union has urged the concerned authority to look into the matter and make necessary arrangements at the earliest. Meanwhile, the ANCSU has conveyed wishes for a grand success of the Fazl Ali College golden jubilee celebration to be held on November 11. The Union also lauded the College for obtaining the grade ‘B’ given by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
ASKK meeting on Nov 7
Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The Aphuyemi Sümi Küghakulu Kohima (ASKK) has called a meeting on November 7, at 9:30am, for the adoption of its Constitution at the residence of its treasurer, Er. Vikheto Shohe, at Officers’ Hill. Informing this, the ASKK has requested all the 23 village representatives under Pughoboto area, executive members and office bearers to attend the meeting positively. The ASKK general secretary, in a press release, stated that there will be no individual intimation, and directed everyone in concern to attend the meeting. Further adding that the meeting will proceed strictly at the fixed time, the ASKK requested that the members be on time “taking into consideration the traffic problem in mind”.
ASTD golden jubilee celebrations on Nov 6
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD) will be celebrating its golden jubilee on November 6 at 10:00am, at the Senden Reju, Dimapur. Nagaland’s Minister of Home, Imkong L Imchen, will be present on the occasion as chief guest, while Imkonglemba, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary to the government of Nagaland, will be the main speaker. The ASTD Jubilee Planning-cum-Fund Raising Committee has invited all Ao citizens of Dimapur to attend the celebrations positively and further welcomed all the ‘Anukapang’ (in-laws) to be a part of the celebration. The ASTD has also requested the “positive attendance” of all the Tribal Hoho representatives on the occasion. It was further informed that there shall be a “jubilee feast” after the conclusion of the program, and that appropriate space would be available at the Inter State Bus Terminus complex. In addition, the ASTD Golden Jubilee lottery shall be drawn during the course of the celebration, it was informed.
