FACAA to celebrate “Alumni Night” on Nov 11

Mokokchung, November 7 (MExN):
The Fazl Ali College Alumni Association (FACAA) invites all the past pupils of the college to come and celebrate the “Alumni Night” on the November 11 at the auditorium of the college. FACAA Alumni Night Convener, Lawrence Imchen in a press release informed that the “Alumni Night” is a celebratory entertainment program as part of the college’s Golden Jubilee celebration and is initiated by the Alumni Association. The program will be graced by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung as the Guest of Honor. The program will be marked by presentation of songs, plays, and other items and the artist and participants of the entire program will be by the Alumni only. Besides these, the celebrations will be marked by a spectacular fireworks display at the end of the program.

MCCI resolves

Mokokchung, November 7 (MExN):
The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) has informed of its resolution to “ban all unscrupulous business practices and unauthorized agencies in the market with immediate effect.” MCCI in a press release stated that ‘non-compliance of this notification by members of MCCI, individuals and groups may ultimately invite legal action.’ MCCI has also appealed to its members for “cooperation to build up a healthy, competitive and free market, so that, people from adjoining districts are also attracted to the Mokokchung market helping it to grow in volume.”

Nagaland Revival Prayer Fellowship in Dec

Kohima, November 7 (MExN):
The Nagaland Revival Prayer Fellowship will take place at the Chathe Christian Prayer Centre from December 11 to 13. The speakers of the programme include Prof. Imcha Yanger Ao, Rev. Khankhu Magh, missionary, and Rev. Keholeshu Tepa, pastor of Kidima Baptist Church.

Army doctors in organ donation drive

Dimapur, November 7 (MExN):
Eight Army Medical Corps Officers - doctors of various specialities were on a `Motorcycle Drive’ to spread awareness about organ donation to general populace with the theme `organ donation – A gift of life’ to commemorate the occasion of the   10th Reunion of the Army Medical Corps. In a press note received here, it stated that the expedition was flagged off from RMS today by Brig N Rathore of HQ 3 Corps for its next leg to Guwahati after having covered almost 4000 km. Earlier, the Team was flagged off from New Delhi on 22 Oct and would be covering a circuit over the states of Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Assam and Bihar. The Team will be finally received by the Commandant of the AMC Centre & School at Lucknow. The Expedition was given a warm send off by the medical fraternity of RMS on their return leg of their arduous and noble mission of spreading awareness to the masses, the note stated.

Chokri Literature Committee session held

Kohima, November 7 (MExN):
The 3rd general session of Chokri Literature Committee was held on October 31in Kohima at the private residence of Zacilho Vadeo. Besides deliberating on other important issues, a new team of officer bearers was elected for the term 2010-2012. Chairman: Ariyi Nyeno, Vice- Chairman: Zaveyi Nyekha, General Secretary- Dr. Zokho Venuh (Administration), Nükusa T. Vadeo (Technical), Text Book Production (i/c) Choyio, Finance Secretary- Thopuvehu Chüzo, Treasurer- Pusazo Venyo, Info & Pub. Secretary- Jolayi Rio, Jt. Secretary- Küduve R. Vadeo, assistant secretary – Vekhucho Vadeo and Vedusayi Soho. Advisory Board: Chief Advisor- Zacilho Vadeo, Members- Vefüsa Epao, Khupo Kezo, Tavehü Thingo, Shetsoyi Rüho, Rev. Thikhu-o Phesao and Rev. Thopu-o Nyekha. Translators- Zacilho Vadeo, Zoveho Lohe, Thopu-o Nyekha, Rev. Thikhu-o Phesao, Rev. Khrütsoyi Lüruo, Dr. Zokho Venuh, Cikhoyi Vese and Vecito Dozo. Meanwhile, consequent to the election of new office bearers, a general meeting of both the former and newly elected members will take place on November 16 at the residence of Zacilho Vadeo at 11:00 AM.
