BSNL introduces ‘One Paisa per Second’ today
Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): Telecom giant BSNL has again introduced a new special tariff voucher, the ‘One Paisa per second’, under 2G prepaid mobile services from License Service Area, with effect from November 9. The features of the voucher include: MRP of special tariff voucher (inclusive of service tax) is Rs.45 with a validity of 90 days. Local/STD charges within the network is one paisa per second, and in other networks is 1.2 paisa per second.
Half Marathon in Zunheboto on Nov 14
Zunheboto, November 8 (MExN): The District Sports Office is organising a Half Marathon in Zunheboto on November 14. The race, to be sponsored by the department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland, will coincide with the state’s Road Show cum Ahunah Festival. Informing this in a press note, Kivigho Rotokha, District Sports Officer, Zunheboto, added that the race will begin at 6:00am from the football ground in the district. The Half Marathon is open to one and all, with handsome prizes and certificates to be won. All those interested in participating have, therefore, been requested to contact the Sports Office, Zunheboto, and the Creatrix Media Inc., Project Colony, for details, the press note added.
189 students in Phek attempt the NTSE
Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): 189 students appeared the National Talent Search and National Merit–cum–Means Scholarship Examination conducted at the Royal Foundation School, Phek town, on November 7. Headmaster of the Examination Centre School, Nuvesayi Edward Hoshi, appreciated and thanked the students, parents and teachers of all the participant schools for their enthusiastic effort for the competitive examination.
BJP Dimapur mourns passing away of member
Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): The BJP, Dimapur district, has condoled the demise of Hiralal Thousen on November 4. Late Thousen was an active member of the BJP party from 3 Dimapur III A/C when he passed away on November 4 at Civil Hospital, Dimapur. The deceased is survived by his wife, 3 sons and 4 daughters. Nikhevi Yepthomi, president of the district BJP, expressed hope that the Almighty God give solace to the bereaved family in their hour of grief, and prayers for his soul to rest in peace.
Gorkha Ex-students Forum condoles
Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): The Gorkha Ex-Students’ Forum Dimapur has expressed deep shock at the sudden demise of its member, Advocate Ram Prashad Sharma, on November 7 at Kohima. The Forum has expressed its deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God to give them strength in their hour of grief and sorrow. “His immense contribution towards the Gorkha community as ex-vice president, GSUD, shall be treasured forever,” the forum stated.
IGAR congratulates Lothas
Dimapur, November 8 (MExN): Maj Gen Jai Prakash Nehra, AVSM IGAR (North), has on behalf of all ranks of Assam Rifles, extended his best wishes to the Lothas on the successful completion of Tokhu Emong “marked by the spectacular road show showcasing the rich culture and tradition”. In a press note issued by the PRO for IGAR (N), the Major General expressed, “We sincerely hope to see a new era of friendship, peace and prosperity in the days to come.” and prayed that the Almighty keep a benign eye on the Lotha community and wished for their prosperity in all spheres and “endeavour to push towards everlasting peace in the region”.
