Kohima, March 10 (DIPR): An international trade expo called ‘Best of Asia Expo’ is to be held at the Kohima local ground on March 12 and 13, 2010. The expo is being organised by the Nirvana Pilgrim Society Expositions in collaboration with the state government. The organisers have stated that there will be international trade and cultural participation from neighbouring countries like Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, China and Sri Lanka besides mainland India participants.
There will also be concurrent events on border trade mart, medical tourism and travel to promote tourism as a destination, and also help locals to travel aboard for their holidays. The organisers have informed that besides the exhibition stalls, there will be cultural troupes from Asian countries and foreign food fest during the event to showcase neighbouring cultural links. The Union Minister of State for Tourism, Sultan Ahmed, is expected to visit the state during the event. The Ambassador of Thailand to India is also expected to be present during the event with his team of Trade delegation during the event.
