Ph. D and M. Phil Scholars of NU informed
Kohima, June 28 (MExN): All the Ph. D. and M. Phil. Scholars of Nagaland University under Kohima Campus have been informed that that there will be a general meeting on July 13at 10:00 AM at the Conference Hall, Nagaland University (Old Office Building - Main Town). The meeting is convened to pertaining election of new office bearers and discussion of important issues relating to NURSF-Kohima.
WAYO nominate office bearers
Kohima, June 28 (MExN): The Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO) has nominated the office bearers for the tenure 2010-2013 and the handing over and taking over of charges was done on June 26. President- Ruopfüvilie Nagi, vice president- Keletsobei Meyase and Neizo Zhünyu, general secretary- Rüülhoulie Khawakhrie, joint secretary- Megokuolie Rhatsu, finance secretary- Kekolhoukho Iralu, treasurer- Mhiesibeizo Vikhrie, publicity secretary- Mezhülhoulie Rino, social & culture secretary- Visilhou Chüsi and Keviletuonuo Merunuo as women co-ordinator.
Governor to attend seminar on climatic change
Kohima, June 28, (MExN): Responding to the challenges of global climatic change which is a collective responsibility, St. Joseph’s College is organizing a two days National Seminar on Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective Capabilities and Response to Climate Change on July 2 and 3 with Governor of Nagaland, Nikhil Kumar as the Chief Guest that will begin at 10.00 am. Director, Center for Science and Environmnet, New Delhi, Sunita Narain, and Panos south Asia, Rakesh Kalshian will be the Key note speakers. The programme also fixed for Special Presentation by the Climate project, Probir Bose and a climate change Acapella by St. Joseph’s Students. Mhonlumo Kikon, Dr. Dolly Matthew, Zuchamo Kikon, Dr. Durgesh Nandini will carry paper presentations on the first day. A report issued on Differentiated Responsibilities and Respective capabilities and Response to Climate Change mentioned that the Seminar seeks to create awareness in the society about the effects of global climate change with the aim of influencing policy makers. The seminar will also be an interdisciplinary approach focusing on National and local capabilities and responses.
Kohima CMO informs
Kohima, June 28 (MExN): Stating that as per the provision under Rule 50 of the Prevention of Food Adulteration (PFA) Rules 1955 (central) and Rule 6 of the Nagaland Prevention of Food Adulteration Rules, 1985, mentioning that no person shall manufacture, sell, stock, distribute or exhibit for sale of any article of food, including prepared food or ready to serve food except under a licence, the Chief Medical Officer, Kohima has informed the food item dealers to obtain /renew the PFA licence for the session 2010-2011 from its office. In case, pharmacies store for sale of food articles in their establishment, they would also have to obtain the prevention of food adulteration licence, a release received here today said.
