DC Peren inaugurates Iherie hill

Peren, February 8 (DIPR): Deputy Commissioner Peren, Khrienuo C. Metha inaugurated the Iherie hill (2.5 km west of Peren) on February 7. The chief guest, in her speech extended her appreciation to the owner of Iherie Hill, Iherie Ndang and SP Peren for the identification of the important spot and venturing this big project for the welfare of the District People which is in line with the state Govt. policy contemplating to boost tourism in the state.
She also remarked Iherie hill as a place of serenity to spent quality time with family and friends together. Iherie Ndang in his speech explained all about the park and his plan to further develop the hill by bringing up cottage, helipad, swimming pool, bridge, indoor stadium, conference hall etc in the near future.
Pastor DEF Peren, Dr. Hiezu, chaired the inaugural function and other highlights of the programme included dedicatory prayer by Rev. Suitei, unfurling of the tower flag by Iherie Ndang, special song Zangnama, Folk songs, Presentation by DC and Colleagues etc.
