Sales day held at Kiphire

Kiphire | February 8: Farmers from four villages displayed the product of their organic vegetables, manure and livestock at the Police Point, Kiphire for sale which was organised by the Kiphire District Nurseries and Farmers Society in collaboration with ATMA Kiphire. Benjamin EAC Hq was the chief guest.
The chief guest while addressing the farmer community said, “It is so encouraging to see organic products being displayed. We are blessed with resources and the only thing we need to do is to harvest those resources and make best use of it.” Benjamin assures the farmers to extent fullest co-operation so that the rural economy is uplifted and also asked the farmers to seek assistance from agri and allied department for any technical help as the department has technical experts.
He also extend his best wishes to the farmers and the society and added let the good work that eh society does bring hope to the farmers and to its citizen and declare the sales day open.
Welcoming the gathering Lichumse, President, Kiphire District Nurseries and Farmers Society said that this kind of activities will go on so that the farmers can sale their products and show the activities of the society and department.
