DDCF vehemently condems
Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): President Dimapur District Citizens forum (DDCF) Dimapur, Hokiye Yepthomi on his behalf and on behalf of the forum, condemned in unequivocal terms, the heinous crime committed by the five rapists. The shocking news of five migrants pouncing upon unsuspecting couple, beating them, separating them and raping the Naga woman has sent shock waves throughout the state. Rising above the routine condemnation and show of anguish against such horrendous offence, exemplary punishment must be given to the rapists. The press statement issued by Kamala Kanta Paul, Press- Secretary, DDCF also stated that Dimapur police deserves all praise for swinging into action immediately and nabbing four of the criminals. Their efforts will bear fruit only when the authorities take the matter to its logical conclusion. It was further stated in the press statement that such a punishment should be awarded to these slurs on humanity that no one ever dares to even think of committing such crimes.
ADC & ERO, Mon Informs
Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): The ADC & Electoral Registration Officer, Mon has informed to all concern that the list of amendment to the draft electoral roll for the 9 constituencies under Mon district namely: 41 Tizit A/C, 42 Wakching A/C, 43 Tapi A/C, 44 Phomching A/C, 45 Tehok A/C, 46 Mon A/C, 47 Aboi A/C, 48 Moka A/C and 55 Tobu A/C. It has been prepared with reference to 01-01-2012 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electoral Rules 1960, and a copy of the roll together with the said list of amendment has been published and would be available for inspection at the office of the Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Mon.
Officials visits 1 MW Lang Hydro Project
Dimapur, Fubruary 8 (MExN): L.Kire Commissioner & Secretary Power along with a team of Power department officers visited the 1 MW Lang Hydro Project in Tuensang on February 8, 2012 to inspect and review the progress of the ongoing work. He impressed upon the officers and the Turnkey Contractors that there should be no slippage from the scheduled completion i.e, by April 2012, assuring that government will ensure adequate and timely release of fund. The Commissioner & Secretary also appreciated the progress made in the last four months and stated that with proper coordination, implementation of such project can be efficiently executed within stipulated time.
