Govt to name public utilities in Changtongya

Changtongya, February 8 (DIPR): A meeting was held at the office of SDO (C) Changtongya town on February 6 in connection with the Government Notification to initiate the process of naming the Government Institution and town road against the name of important Naga personalities who are no more and to put forward at the DPDB meeting and the recommendation to be send to the Home Department.
The meeting was chaired by SDO (C) Changtongya, Chubawati Chang, which was attended by X-Minister, Marchiba Jamir, Chief Advisor Changtongya Town Council, Head GB, public leaders, SDEO Changtongya and SDO PWD (R&B) Changtongya. Having deliberated upon it by the representatives at the meeting, it was unanimously decided to put the following proposals. For Government Institution, Government High School the meeting decided to propose it as R.C. Chiten Jamir Memorial Government High School. It was further decided to propose for town road from National Highway to new Medical Longchara and public ground Akhoya as L. Pangersowa road.
Meanwhile, the monthly Head of Departmental Coordination meeting under Changtongya sub-division was held on January 30 at SDO (C) office.
At the outset, the SDO (C) and Chairman, Chubawati Chang welcomed all the members present and extended his new year's greeting to them. Reviewing the last meeting minutes, the Electrical Engineer was reminded to give a progress report on the re-establishment of the duty control room in the heart of the town in the next meeting. It was also decided by the members to officially write to all concerned department established at Changongya sub-division to attend the meeting.
The OC Police Changtongya, Among also informed all Head of Offices to inform one day ahead, for requisition of security personnel during the disbursement of monthly salary. The house also decided to entrust SDO (C) Treasury Officer and OC Police to tie up together for fare and successful conduct of the forthcoming HSLC and HSSLC Examination at Government High School, Changtongya centre. The next monthly head of departmental coordination meeting would be hosted by SDEO Changtongya on February 29.
