AR organizes free medical camp at Ghukiye

Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): 21 Assam Rifles conducted free medical camp under “OP SADBHAVANA” at Ghukiye village on February 5 under the aegis of HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles. A press release issued by the Assam Rifles said that the aim of the camp was to provide basic medical treatment and medicines to far flung villages. The medical camp was organised at Ghukiye village comprising of four Doctors and eight medical staff under Dy Comdt M P Gaihaipou and Asst Comdt S Peter. Two civil medical specialists led by Dr Viholi and   Dr Kanato, Dist Hospital, Zunheboto also voluntarily participated in this camp. During the med camp a total of 184 patients including 70 Males, 77 Females and 37 children of Ghukiye and adjoining villages were treated and given medical advice. Free medicines were also distributed to the local population. Ghukiye villagers whole heartedly praised the noble gesture of “The Assam Rifles” and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the medical camp at their doorstep. The conduct of medical camp reaffirmed the commitment of Assam Rifles to promote development and provide helping hand to the people of Nagaland in all spheres of life.

Satami Village Baptist Baghi Hoho

Kohima, February 12 (MExN): All the bonafide members of the Satami Tughalomi Kuqhakulu (Satami Non-Residents’ Union) have been informed that the annual Satami Village Baptist Baghi Hoho (General session) is being scheduled on February 25 at Satami village. All the Tughalomi (Non-Resident Satamis’) have been requested to report to the residence of its president Kiheto Phule, DC Hill Zunheboto at 2:00 PM on February 24. The general session is all set to have deliberations on all the important issues of the villages, besides, all the chairmen of the various communitized village level committees have to submit their annual records on the day of the general session for the annual report cum audit session. In this connection, all the members have been requested to attend the session without fail.

AR provides relief material

Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): Fire broke out in the house of Unjai at Lungwa on February 8, 2012. In the inferno, her house got completely burnt and all the house hold properly was completely damaged. Major Pradeep Chauhan of 6th Assam Rifles immediately rushed to the site and provided relief material to include CGI Sheets, rations and Rs.5000/- (Rupees five thousand). The initiative by 6th Assam Rifles to rebuild the house and reinstate their lines was very well appreciated by the local authorities and the residents of Lungwa village.
