New GPS inaugurated at Mon

Mon, February 13 (DIPR): A newly established Government Primary School was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Mon, Angau I Thou at Shamnyu Ward, Mon Town on February 13 as the chief guest.
In her inaugural speech, she exhorted the gathering that through this newly established School quality education should be imparted for the benefit of the Ward/Colony children to shine the Mon Town as a whole in Mon District. She also called upon the locality of the Shamnyu Ward to give full co-operation to the concern department in order to bring up the School standard from Primary to Higher Secondary School level.
Ex-KU President, Hoka Konyak and Nyapong Konyak, DEO representatives also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Phuhton Konyak, Deacon pronounced the invocation while Shangkem Konyak, W.E.C. Chairman chaired the function. Government Officials and Ward public attended the function.
