Limabenla first Naga at LIMUN
Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): A Naga student, Limabenla Jamir has participated in London International Model United Nations 2012. Limabenla Jamir, daughter of Dr. Watijungshi Jamir hailing from Khensa Village with her participation has brought laurel to the Naga community, stated a press note received here.
Limabenla is currently an Msc student in Royal Holloway, University of London studying Applied Social Psychology. She is the first Naga to participate in the London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) representing her university held in Imperial College, London from February 10 to 12, 2012. She has also received an honorable mentioned award for representing Libyan republic.
LIMUN is the largest annual university-based Model United Nations conference in Europe and the 3rd largest in the world. Model United Nations (MUN) asks young people to take on the role of world leaders and build an understanding of global challenges and work co-operatively to find solutions to future global problems that are compatible with the aims and principles of the United Nations.
The three day seminar involved 1300 young people from 42 countries, taking on the role of world leaders and UN ambassadors working together to find solutions to international challenges, acquire new knowledge and skills, and build relationships that cross borders of background, culture and nationality.
