More developmental projects under Chozuba A/C

Kohima | February 15: Parliamentary secretary for social welfare, women & child development Chotisuh Sazo said the tender process has begun for early commencement of the construction works at Government Polytechnic at Chetheba. He said the construction works such as administration building, hostels and staff quarter will start soon. The government will soon inaugurate the much awaited new RD Block at Chetheba, Sazo said. Presently, the 18th Chozuba A/C has no separate RD block wherein half falls under RD block Kikruma and anther half under Sekruzu RD Block.
He was addressing the public at K. Basa after inaugurating the GHS, GPS’ B” and link road there on Tuesday.  The government is also set to establish Women Development Resource Centre and Tourist Guest House at Chozuba. Besides, developing accommodation at the site of the last camp of Subash Chandra Bose at Chesezu, the government also plans to take up rural tourism in different villages of the constituency. Maintaining the road connectivity as the main source for all round development, he said that two black topping works along Pfutsero- Chetheba road under PMGSY and also Chokriba via- Thipuzu to NH 155 under NLCP will start soon.
Stating that necessary ground works for early commencement the said work has begun, he called upon the public to cooperate with the concerned contractors or agencies and supervise the work within their respective jurisdiction for effective execution of the work. Another road construction work is going on along Chozuba- Kijumetouma, which he said, would latter link Zhadima and Bokajan. Referring to Venuto- Tüsüru link road wherein he inaugurated the same on Tuesday at K. Basa, Sazo said that once the road is fully developed, the journey to Phek district HQ will be much shorter through this route that will pass through Runguzu and Thuvopisu village. Seeing the viability of the said road and to fulfill the aspiration of the villagers, Sazo assured to do the necessity and at the same time called for joint effort in making the same a reality.
