Training for formation of incident response team
Kohima, February 15 (MExN): The department of fire & emergency services, Nagaland in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), GOI has organized a 3-day training programme for formation of Incident Response Team (IRT) for Niuland Division and Chumukedima Block, Dimapur, at Rhododendron Hall, Officers’ Mess, Chumukedima from February 8-10 last.
Hotolu, ADC, Niuland attended the inaugural programme as the chief guest. Resource persons for the training programme included Medo Pienyü, Senior Staff Officer, C D and Home Guards, Dr. Hovithal Sothu, State Co-ordinator, ATI, Er. N. Moa Longkumer, Associate Professor, ATI, and Johny Ruangmei, SPO, SDMA. Altogether, 28 participants from different departments and higher secondary schools attended the programme. Further, the department will conduct the training for Kohima District (Kohima Town, Chiephobozou, Jakhama) from February 16-18 at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima. The inaugural programme at 10:00 AM on February 16 will be graced by. W. Kithan, parliamentary secretary for prison, civil defence & home guards and fire and emergency services. All the invited departments are requested to send their officers/personnel to attend the said training.
