Intensive Capacity building trg underway



Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): Around 50 Young and dynamic Naga Youth leaders from different districts of Nagaland are presently undergoing a 5 days intensive Capacity building training program at the Naga Heritage Village- Kisama, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanagathan Nagaland Zone. The training is under the program ‘Mentor Youth Club’.
Speaking in training, Y. Laksman Singh, District Youth Coordinator in charge of Phek district explained to the trainees about how NEHRU YUVA KENDRA is organized and the way it works. He also explained the various programs performed by the NYKs. For instance National Integration Camp (NIC), Youth Club Exchange Program, Work Camp, Life’s Skill Education Program, Bharat Parakrima etc. He said, at present there are currently 501 NYKs in the country. At the training, George Richa a Youth leader from Jakhama also shared his experience as one of the Indian Youth delegation in the Indo China Youth Exchange Program 2011 held at China. He was one of the 500 Youth that represented the Indian Youth in which 4 were from Nagaland. The training program will conclude on February 17.
