Air Marshal visits IGAR (N)

Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): Air Marshal S Varthaman, AVSM, VM, VSM, AOC-in-C Eastern Command accompanied by his wife Dr Shobha Varthaman visited HQ IGAR (N) today, February 15 to review the security situation and other related issues.
A press note from the IGAR stated that the Air Officer and his wife landed at Kohima helipad at 9:00 am, where they were received by IGAR (N) and accorded a traditional Naga welcome at the helipad.
Air Marshal S Varthaman, AVSM, VM, VSM, lauded the role being played by the officers and men of Assam Rifles as the guardians of peace in the state. He also praised and complimented all the government officials, NGOs, churches, media personnel, GBs and other state officials for their dedication and excellent cooperation with the security forces towards ensuring a peaceful, safe and congenial atmosphere in the Nagaland state, the note stated.
