Kohima Village VDB Link Road inauguration

Kohima, February 17 (MExN): The Kohima Village VDB Link Road, RD Block Kohima will be inaugurated on February 18 at 1:00 PM by Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister, Nagaland who is also the chief guest. The VDB Link Road from Ruleizou (I.G. Stadium) NH-2 to Seithogei NH-29 has been constructed under MGNREGS. After the inauguration, there will be a function at Vürie at 1:15 P.M. Rural Development Asst. Director Publicity, K. Neibou Sekhose in a press release said that the programme will be chaired by Vilhouzhalie Dzüvichü, Chairman, Kohima Village Council; welcome address: Chairman, KVC; Special Song: Kohima Village Women; VDB Report: John Sote, VDB Secretary; Short Speech: S. Pangnyu Phom, Parliamentary Secretary, RD&REPA, Nagaland; Vote of Thanks: Helievi-o Solo, Vice Chairman, Kohima Village Council which will be followed by Sekrenyi Feast.

Annapurna beneficiaries informed

Kohima, February 17 (MExN): The Annapurna beneficiaries of Kohima headquarter and Chiephobozou Centre are informed to collect their respective 9 months quota from Kohima office go-down by producing Ration Cards. The distribution will be made from February 21 to March 23 between 11 to 2.30 pm. A press release issued by inspector, food & civil supplies, Metsi Zhasa, added that those beneficiaries who finds difficult to collect by themselves may authorize their respective village council chairman/secretary for collection by producing Ration cards. Meanwhile the assistant director, food & civil supplies, Lanutoshi Jamir also informed all the FPS/village council of Kohima Centre that the AAY food-grains for two months will be released from February 21-22 between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. All the concerned FPS/village councils are directed to collect their respective quota within the stipulated period.

Blood donation camp held in Mkg

Mokokchung, February 17 (DIPR): A blood donation camp was conducted at the premises of Housing & Development Financial Cooperation (HDFC) Bank on February 16 which was organized by HDFC Bank in collaboration with Blood Bank Imkongliba memorial District Hospital (IMDH) as part of their Community Service Programme. All the staffs led by Branch Manager participated in the programme by donating blood. The Medical Superintendent ant Staffs of IMDH, Mokokchung expressed gratitude to the HDFC for their humanitarian act.

DMC directs on ‘garbage’

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has directed all traders and shopkeepers and business establishments to throw garbage between 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. This timing has been fixed through board resolution No. 7 dated February 2, 2012, stated a press note issued by DMC CEO Imtirenla Jamir. Failing to comply with the direction, the concern authority will be bound to take appropriate action which may lead to imposition, heavy penalty and closure of shops and firms.

ENPUK executive meeting on Feb 19

Kohima, February 17 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Kohima, (ENPUK) has convened an executive meeting on February 19 at 3:00 pm at its treasurer’s residence. The meeting is called in connection with the join celebration of Aoleang (Konyak Festival) and Monyu (Phom’s festival) at Kohima, hosted by ENPUK. A press note issued by its general secretary Yenso Poangba has requested all the ENPUK executive and six tribal presidents from the Eastern Nagaland Union Kohima to attend the meeting positively.

NPF Youth Wing Wokha meeting

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): The first general meeting of the NPF, Youth Wing Wokha division will be held o February 21 at 11:00 am at the Conference Hall of the Divisional Office. Therefore, all the newly inducted office bearers are asked to attend the meeting without fail.

AR donates computer set

Dimapur, February 17 (MExN): Colonel H Panging, SM, Commandant, 1st (Lushai Hills) Battalion Assam Rifles donated one computer set with all accessories to Sewashram Orphanage Creche’s School, Tuensang on February 2 as part of Civic Action Programme. A pressote issued by the AR said that a small cultural programme was organized by the students of the school and a gathering of approximate six school staff and 30 students witnessed the programme. The Commandant conveyed his best wishes to all the students and urged them to work hard to become able citizens of the state.
