New agri materials for Phek village

The people of Phek village have reasons to rejoice. Under the scheme of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) the department of Agriculture has provided several farming equipments. Under the initiative of the District Agriculture Officer of Phek, a team of DAO office including technicians and officers brought a number of farming equipments including several quantities of seeds of different varieties for Phek villagers on February 15.
Right before distribution of the same, Minister for Health & Family Welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu addressed the farmers and village leaders gathered at Phek Village Community hall. The Health Minister expressed happiness and appreciation to the department for pursuing with their assigned tasks and reaching out the farmers with equipments at the right time.
Urging the beneficiaries not take the distributed equipments for granted, he appealed to them to utilize the materials with dedication and sincerity. He urged them to be a part of modern technology system of farming ‘joining the rest of the world.’
Nienu, while making his appeal to the farmers not to take the distributing seeds for the consumption purpose, said ‘these are of all chemically applied seeds and when one take it for the consumption purpose it would affect the health of an individual.
Distributing seeds should carry out fully for god cultivation motive, Nienu asserted, one should aim harvesting the sown seeds with better harvesting.
Meanwhile, the VCC Phek Ezo Venuh and VDB Secretary, Phek Chivozo Soho on behalf of the entire community of Phek express their gratitude to the department for helping out the farmers of Phek Village at the very right time further express their gratefulness to the Health Minister for always stand behind firm in all those forms of pursuance.
