Ghaspani-I NPF party convention held
Dimapur, February 20 (MExN): The general convention and declaration of office bearers of Naga Peoples’ Front for 4th Ghaspani-I Assembly Constituency was held on February 20, 2012 at the residence of H. Khekiho Zhimomi, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha).
Addressing the party worker, the NPF stalwart Khekiho Zhimomi said that assignment of each party worker comes with great responsibility and called upon the party workers present to work to achieve success and not failure.
He reminded them that the party having confidence on them has given them the responsibility to work for the party at the grass root level which they must fulfill with determination and enjoy the benefit of ruling party. He further reminded them that no one from other constituency will come and work for us but it is only us who will have to work for us.
Khekiho hoped that Ghaspani-I NPF party workers would uphold the image and principle of the NPF. He reiterated that it is only regional party which can fulfill the needs of Naga people.
Hundreds of NPF party workers representing all nine units of the constituency, which is the largest of all assembly constituencies of the state, attended the programme and affirmed their unflinching support for Khekiho Zhimomi and to work for the party. Party officials from state level and division also attended the programme.
Among others who spoke include Lepshi Ao, vice president, NPF Central; Shilu Sangtam, president, NPF Dimapur Division and Atoka Awomi, NPF Youth Wing, Dimapur Division. They urged the party workers to remain faithful to Khekiho as the society needs an abled and seasoned leader like him. Atoka said to party workers that a time has come for party workers to bring about a change in the constituency.
Representatives of all the units presented party report at the unit level.
