Man killed in accident

Kohima | February 21

A middle aged man was reportedly killed in an accident that took in the state capital this afternoon. The deceased was identified as Gobind Singh, 40 years and a driver of water tanker from Bihar state. The OC, North Police Station, disclosed that the incident took place inside the 16 Assam Rifle Camp, when the driver went to supply water at the camp, it was reported that the accident occurred due to technical failure and died of head injury. After performing the formalities, the police officer informed that the office has informed its community people to hand over the dead body.

ENPO meeting on Feb 27

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): A special consultative meeting of the ENPO tribal presidents, central executive members, frontal organisations (ENSF, ENWO & ENCSU) and advisory council members will be held on February 27 in Dimapur. Zuketsa Area Public meeting on Feb 24

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): All the Zuketsa Area Public outside dwellers are informed that there will be a public general meeting on February 24 at 9:30 a.m at Zuketsa Community Hall. Zuketsa Area Public Organization, District Phek President Mezelo Lomi in a press release has  requested all to attend the said meeting. Dr. Kevichüsa (Kwetshüpe) Medikhrü, Joint Director (NRHM) Directorate of health and family Welfare, Nagaland will be the guest speaker for the session.

STK general session postponed

Kohima, February 21, (MExN): The bonafied members of the Satami Tughalomi Kuqhakulu (Satami non-residents’ union) that the annual Satami Village Baghi Hoho (general session) is postponed to 9 March at Satami village. The postponement has been made inevitable so as to coincide with biometric census scheduled on 6 and 7 March. A press release issued by its general secretary, Hekugha Yeptho has requested all the Tughalomi (non-resident Satamis) to report to the residence of its president Kiheto Phule, DC Hill Zunheboto at 2 pm on 8 March. It added that the general session is all set to have deliberations on all the important issues of the village and also directed all the chairman of the various communitized village level committees to submit their annual records on the general session day for the annual report cum audit session. The union has requested all its members to bear with the circumstantial compulsion and attend the general session without fail.

Spiritual awakening prog by CRBC

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): The Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) Women Department organized a three days Spiritual Awakening Programme for Associate Pastor Women from February 18 to 20 at CRBC Mission Centre, Zunpha with Rev. Dr.L.Tsanso, Rev. Tenga Seb, Dr. Kenilo Kath and Gwanilo Khing as the speakers. A press release issued by Shani, Women Secretary, CRBC, Zunpha, informed that the programme was well represented from almost all the Churches under CRBC. The schedule started from 5:00 AM in the morning till late night with various items to facilitate each and everyone’s spiritual awakening. To energize the unity of believers and to remind the congregation about the coming of Christ, Rev. Isac Kesen performed the Holy Communion. All the workers rededicated their lives for deeper spiritual growth and total faithfulness in their assigned pastoral ministry.

GMS inaugurated at Enhulumi

Dimapur, February 21 (MExN): The Government Middle School Enhulumi Village was inaugurated on February 11 by Z. Lohe, Advisor (Pol) to Chief Minister. Speaking on the occasion he said that a wise man does not necessary mean because one has attain high qualification. One should have the fear of the Lord, have taboo and should have shame. Without this three we cannot say one is wise. He also called upon the teacher to be more dedicated and have good moral character. He said today’s children are like machines. If not operated, it stands still. The programme was attended by Akangna SDEO Pfütsero and other various departmental officers.
