Sumi hoho meeting on Feb 27

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): The Kohima Sumi Hoho has informed al the Sumi Community Chairman in all the colonies and its representatives to Kohima Sumi Hoho, that Kohima Sumi officers’ Kuqhakülü Presidents and its colleagues, Sumi GBs in Kohima town, Kohima Sumi Totimi Hoho president and colleagues, Kohima Sumi Students’ Union president and Colleagues to attend the consultative meeting on 27 February at 3 pm at red Cross Society Conference Hall Kohima. This has been informed through a press release issued by its president Edward K Zhimomi and general secretary Lhokiye Yeputhomi.

FGN discharges tatar

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): A press note issued by the Ministry of Rali Wali, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN), stated that as forwarded by the Leacy Hoho of the Sumi region of the FGN for removal, the Kedahge, in consultation of the council of Kilonsers, on the 60th Tatar Hoho terminated Eno. Kisheto Zhimo, Tatar, S/o Satovi Zhimo of Lizu village under Zunheboto District from active national service with effect from 24th January based on the provision of Article 74 of the Yezahbo of Nagaland. The press note further requested all the business establishments and general public to be cautious of the aforementioned in terms of financial matters and other related issues which may hamper and tarnish the image of the government.

Nationwide strike in SBI

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): A press note issued by NCBE Nagaland General Secretary A. Lolly Moses has stated that a nationwide strike in State Bank of India on February 2012 will be held in support of the All India General strike call given by all major Central Trade Unions. Its demands are as follows-Take concrete measures to contain price rise; Open up avenues for employment and fill up all vacant positions of Govt. jobs; Stop outsourcing and contractual labour; Enforce all basic labour laws; Bring workers of unorganized sectors under universal security cover; Stop disinvestment of PSUs including PSU banks; Stop unrestricted entry of foreign capital; Reintroduce compassionate appointments in PSU banks; Scrap Khandelwal Committee’s recommendations; Implement 5 day banking.

IMFL seized

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): A joint raid was conducted by the state excise Kohima and the Administration Chiephobozou on February 22. Altogether a total of 16 bottles of MC Rum, 17 bottles of whisky, 5 numbers of can beer, 1 cartoon of yeast and 10 bottles of IMFL (open) were seized and 6 persons were penalized under NLTP Act 89. The seized articles were destroyed in the presence of the Superintendent of Excise Kohima, the ADC Chiephobozou, the Dobashis and the public. Further a total of 182 of bottles of 750 ml rum, 24 bottles of 375 ml rum and 42 bottles of 650ml beer were seized from the excise bypass check gate during the period from 20-23 February under the command of AIE Akum. The seized articles have been deposited in the office Malkhana.

MARCOFED board meeting on March 7

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): A press note issued by, Remomo Lotha, Managing Director, notified all the members of the board of directors of MARCOFED Limited that the 94th meeting of the Board is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 10.30 am in the office chamber of the chairman MARCOFED at Dimapur. All concerned members has been requested to attend the meeting positively.

NCA & SCAN condoles

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Chess Association (NCA) has expressed sad, over the untimely demise of Er. Tokheto Rotokha SDO, Hydel Project Zunheboto stating that late Rotokha is a young dynamic Chess enthusiast who participated Nagaland State ‘A’ Chess Championship and also participated International Rating Chess Tournament at Dualijian 2008, representing Nagaland. The NCA, conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members. Meanwhile the Sumi Chess Association Nagaland (SCAN) has also extended its deepest sympathy over the sudden demise of Lt. Er. Tokheto Rotokha, member of SCAN, who has pioneered in the year 2000. SCAN has conveyed its deepest condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that Almighty God grant eternal peace to the departed soul.

Notice for final publication of E-Roll

Kohima, February 25 (DIPR): It is hereby notified for public information that the list of amendment to the draft electoral roll for Kohima Municipal Council has been prepared with reference to SEC/MTC/SR-1/08 dated 21.12.2011 and February 24 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2001 and the Nagaland Municipal Election Rules, 2003 made there under. A copy of the said roll together with the said list of amendment has been publish and will be available for inspection at the office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima Municipal Council.

NPF Central Youth Wing meeting

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): The introductory meeting of the NPF Central Youth Wing for the session 2012-2014 will be held on March 9. Time 10 Am at NPF headquarter Kohima. All the Central Youth Wing office bearers are requested to attend the said meeting positively.  Further, it is informed that no separate letter will be issue in this connection.

NSF 3rd Federal Assembly on March 5

Dimapur, February 25 (MExN): A press note issued by R. S Jollyson, Speaker, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), states that the 3rd Federal Assembly for the tenure 2011-13 will be summoned on March 5 starting from 11:00 am at Panchayat Hall, Kohima village. The press note also requests all federating units, sub-ordinate bodies and senior leaders to attend the said Federal Assembly positively. The press note further extends warm New Year greetings from the office of the Assembly Secretariat, Naga Students’ Federation (NSF).

Orientation programme for ACL

Kohima, February 25 (MExN): A three days residential Orientation programme will be conducted for the teachers of Pilot project schools on Activity and Competency Learning (ACL) system of education at DUDA guest house from March 13 to 15.The selected teachers from the Pilot schools are requested to attend the workshop positively, as informed by Director SCERT, Vipralhou Kesiezie and to contact 9436071973 for detail information.
