ANCSU appeals for early results
Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has today drawn the attention of the University Examination section in requesting all the college authorities that the examined answer script of the under graduate students had been dispatched by Nagaland University to all the concerned colleges for evaluation. Therefore, the Union has appealed to all the concerned authorities to take the responsibility of checking the scripts within the stipulated time so that it will benefit the students in their pursuance for further studies and also timely completion of the academic calendar course. The ANCSU will extend fullest cooperation and at the same time assert that it will not compromise at any length in the event of late declaration of results stated a press release issued by ANCSU vice president Tsukjem Lkr.
Sangphur citizens appeal for release of member
Dimapur, April 26, (MExN): Sangphur Citizen’s Union Dimapur area and Sangphur Students Union in a joint press statement received, rectified the news item published on April 22, 2012 regarding the ammunition dump being busted by the AR and Dimapur Police. It was stated that Zungkum Yimchunger aged around 21 years hailing from Sangphur village appeared in local daily news on April 22, 2012 regarding detention for detection of arms and ammunition by 29th AR and Dimapur Police. The Sangphur citizen Union Dimapur area and Sangphur Students Union with the concern of Sangphur village council asserted that there is record of him being a bonafied citizen and is no way linked with any anti-social activities. The Sangphur Union Dimapur area and Sangphur Students’ Union therefore urged the authorities in charge as well as law enforcing agencies and District administration to immediately release him inconditionally.
KBC Dimapur to celebrate Silver Jubilee
Dimapur, April 26 (MExN): A press note issued by M. Pusham, Pastor, Khianmungan Baptist Church (KBC) Dimapur and T. Pongo, Convenor, Silver Jubilee Planning Committee, stated that the KBC Dimapur will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee from April 28-29 at the new church building site, Burma Camp, with the theme, “Show Forth His Praises”. The host of speakers will be Rev. B. Pinglang, Executive Secretary, KBCA, Rev. Noksa Chiu, Secretary, Church & Mission, KBCA, Rev. N. Pomo, Evangelist, Nagaland Missions Movement and P. Himpao, Youth Secretary, KBCA. The KBC Dimapur further extended its warmest welcome to all the Khiamniungans and well wishers to the Silver Jubilee celebration.
