Project proposal for master plan of Dimapur Solar City

Kohima, June 21 (MExN): A meeting of the 2nd stakeholders for the development of Dimapur Solar City along with Darashaw & Company Pvt.Ltd Mumbai team, NGO’s stakeholders was held at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur on June 18 last. The meeting was presided over by Er. T.S. Angami, director New and Renewable Energy Department. Power point presentation on master plan of Dimapuir solar city was given by Ankush Goel, consultant, Darashaw & Company.

Further, stakeholders/NGOs members from DMC, Urban Development department, power department, DCCI, district administration and NRE officials deliberated on the issue and agreed to submit the Master Plan of Dimapur Solar city along with five DPRs on RE projects to the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Government of India for approval.

The project proposal included; waste to energy (Methanation), solar street lights in wards, solar water heating system, solar power plant and replacement of existing streetlights with LED lamps.
